Occupational therapists provide expert support to people with physical or intellectual disabilities in order to help them improve the quality of their lives. They use various activities (exercise, work and play) to assist the patient’s physical or mental recovery, and they adapt actions and equipment to create an environment in which the patient can, in spite of his/her disability, lead a fulfilling life.
